Leadership
I moved into consulting for a simple reason: I enjoy helping entrepreneurs see their business clearly, so they can make better decisions.
The turning point came while building Sonoro Global Media’s finance function from scratch. The part I enjoyed most was giving a founder clarity, so I decided to do it for many companies, not just one.
Small and mid-sized businesses are the heart of the economy: 99.9% of US companies and nearly half of private-sector jobs. They are the heart of my practice too. My job is to take finance off the owner’s plate, so they can focus on running the business.
I start with strategy: where the business wants to go, then the numbers to get there. My style is hands-on, without losing sight of the bigger picture. I explain finance without jargon to an owner or a front-line team, and bring Fortune 500 board-level rigor when investors are in the room. As an outside partner, I bring no internal agenda, only a focus on getting things done.
I began my career at Ernst & Young (EY) in France, London and the United States, then led finance at Western Digital, Twitch, J.D. Power and Sonoro. I was at the forefront of digital media’s growth, and you might hear me reminisce about the glory days of YouTube multi-channel networks, or when programmatic was still purely programmatic. That breadth lets me get up to speed in almost any industry.
I’ve also supported VC- and PE-backed portfolio companies, and I know what their investors expect, from board packages and covenant reporting to the diligence behind every new round or exit.
I hold a Master of Science in Finance (Université Lyon II), a Master of Arts in Accounting and Finance (ESDES) and the DSCG, France’s advanced accounting qualification. I work in English, French, Spanish and Italian, and was early to bring practical AI into finance.
I live in Orange County and spend part of the year in France. Outside work, you’ll find me on the golf course, in the pool or on my motorcycle.

What people say.
“Franck helped us adapt our pitch for US investors ahead of our roadshow. He reworked the story, the financials and the key metrics so they matched what American VCs expect, and prepared us for the questions they actually ask. Having a French finance executive who knows both markets made the difference.”
“As the owner of Marcum Psychological Services, I’m grateful for A2Z’s guidance as we grew our group practice. Their financial clarity, thoughtful forecasting, and responsiveness helped us make confident staffing and growth decisions. They understood the unique needs of a clinical practice and truly felt like partners.”
“Franck set up our QuickBooks, cleaned up the books and got every account reconciled. For the first time, I trust the numbers. When it came to new hires, he showed me what we could afford and when, so I made those decisions with confidence instead of guesswork.”
FAQ
Common questions.
Can’t I just use AI for this?
AI is excellent at producing numbers and drafts, and I use it every day. What it can’t do is know which question to ask, stand behind a forecast in front of your board, or tell you not to make that hire. That’s the part you hire me for.
How are fees set?
After the intro call, I send a short proposal with a scope and a fixed monthly or project fee, based on company stage and what needs to get done.
Do you take on smaller businesses?
Yes. Monthly bookkeeping for a small business is a fixed monthly fee scaled to transaction volume, and you can add forecasting or CFO support later without changing providers.
Do you prepare tax returns?
No. I keep the books tax-ready and work directly with your CPA or enrolled agent, who prepares and files the returns. If you don’t have one, I can introduce you.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. I work with companies across the US and Europe. That said, I place real value on personal interaction: sometimes nothing replaces a face-to-face conversation, especially when things need to get done quickly. I am glad to work on site whenever it helps.
Can you work with our existing bookkeeper or accountant?
Yes. In most engagements I oversee the bookkeeping and tax providers you already have, and only recommend changes where they would make a real difference.
Do you work with companies outside the US?
Yes. Cross-border companies are a specialty: European companies expanding into the US, and US companies with teams in Europe or Latin America. I work in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
What would you like to fix, decide or optimize?
A complimentary 30-minute consultation to talk it through and agree on a first step.
